Checks and courses

It has been a busy week. I mean: busier than the ones before. I finally… finally got my eyes checked. I have been experiencing a lot of difficulties seeing and estimating distances. It has been tiring and gave me headaches from time to time. After the testing I know why. The sight of my left eye has deteriorated with minus one, and the right minus a half. As this asymmetric I am probably not ‘using’ my left eye anymore. It will probably take some time to adjust to a better sight with the new glasses.

This morning I was pleased to find out that my dentist could not find any new holes in my teeth. He thoroughly cleaned the teeth, removing stains / colouring caused by wine, cigars and coffee. Exiting the dentist’s practice is a very satisfying experience. Nothing personal here.

More satisfying news. I finished preparing and presenting courses at work. I presented the basics of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. In order to do so, I prepared 4 manuals that I am sharing here (Dutch only, sorry).

I think that, when looking back, I am not really a pedagogue. I am not surprised. I am too impatient and I am an ‘unstructured’ thinker. I think, though, that I managed fairly well giving these courses. Happiness and relieve remain.
